You might think that the texture would feel strange when you eat with it but it's not noticeable. Visually however it's stunning! Merletto is made in a larger size but the Salad Fork and Teaspoon aren't large enough to be a true Continental size. Overall the pattern is very heavy and the knife features a superior cutting blade as you would expect from a pattern at this price.
